Rains stopped play early in the first set at Chaska High School and the teams agreed to resume the match next Monday. When the varsity stopped to pick up the junior varsity at the meddle school courts, they found they were dry so the contest was completed there.
"Strange day," coach Jack Olwell. "But we played well, even in most of the matches we lost."
The Farmington points came at third and fourth singles where Ivan Rodriguez pulled out a 3-6, 6-2, 6-2 come-from-behind victory and Bennett Lagro cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 decision.
"Ivan is giving me gray hair," Olwell said. "He starts so slow but comes roaring back. He looks tired by the end, but he could save himself a lot of trouble by by starting matches the way he finishes them....As for Bennett, everything he hit was on the nose. It was a dominating performance."
The Tigers close their regular season Thursday with a Missota Conference match-up with New Prague.
