Lakeville South scored a goal in each half, the second coming a minute before the final horn, in a 2-0 win over the Tigers Saturday, Sept. 18, at Tiger Stadium.
The loss to the their Section 1AA rival left Farmington with a 5-5 season record heading into the first full week of Missota Conference play.
"We played a solid game against a tough section opponent," coach Julian Buss said. "If there is such a thing as a good loss, this was one. We played aggressively all game and out-hustled them. We had our chances to score. I can walk away from this one knowing that our boys played tough all game."
The Tigers, 1-0, in Missota Conference play, have a pair of big conference road games coming up this week, Tuesday, Sept. 21 at Chanhassen and Thursday, Sept. 23, in Shakopee.
