Missota Conference newcomer Chanhassen made a strong statement Monday afternoon, Sept. 13, with a decisive 7-0 dual meet win over the Tigers in Chanhassen.
The powerful Storm (9-1) did not lose a game in four singles matches, winning by a combined 48-0 score.
Farmington (0-3) had its best shot at first doubles where the tandem of Danielle Froehling and Katie Burgess had the opposition on the run before losing 4-6, 4-6.
The Tiger duo finished the first set with a rally and then jumped to a 4-0 lead in the second before fading down the stretch.
"Despite the scores we showed some improvement," coach Jack Olwell said. "We still need to learn how to close out games but we are getting closer to that goal."
