The Tigers stayed stuck in a rut in a 7-0 a Missota Conference loss to Red Wing, Tuesday, Sept. 14, at the Boeckman Middle School courts. Farmington (0-4) has lost all four dual meets this season by identical 7-0 scores.
"Unfortunately, most of the teams we have played so far have overpowered us," coach Jack Olwell said, "but at least they point out where the work needs to be done and the girls are hanging in there."
The top Farmington effort in singles play came at the No. 4 position where Lucy Gentilini lost 1-6, 2-6.
"Lucy is in constant motion," Olwell said. "She is always on the run."
In doubles, the No. 3 duo of Jessica Autey and Rachel Molitor played what Olwell termed "their best match of the season" in a 1-6, 3-6 setback.
The Tigers are hoping for better results Friday when they face Bloomington Kennedy in a non-conference match.
"We beat them last year and it should be close again this year," he said
